Meet Dan Joslyn

Surbiton Block Management was founded on a simple observation: directors of residential blocks were being let down by large, faceless agencies. Calls went unanswered, repairs slipped through the cracks, and managing agents only seemed to appear when the service charge demand was due.

 

Dan Joslyn built Surbiton Block Management to do the opposite. As the owner, he is personally involved in every block — answering the phone, walking the site each month, and making sure directors always know what’s happening with their development.

How often do you visit blocks?

We carry out monthly site visits as standard — every block, every month. Each visit is documented and shared with directors. Most large agents only visit every six months, which we believe is far too infrequent for proactive management.

We specialise in small to medium residential blocks — typically around 20 units — though we work with developments from a handful of flats up to larger schemes. Our model is built around personal attention, so we deliberately keep numbers manageable.
